Great place, I can’t believe how many times I have driven past it and never really noticed. It can be easy to miss but if you are in town for meal with the family, on holiday or just looking for a high quality fresh meal, this is your place.

We actually came here after a friend recommended the Store to my Wife. They did a great job with the kids and they did a good job with a few larger groups we saw that day. We loved their fixed dinner menu that had a fixed price, we will be back to try their all day breakfast next time.

We went for the dessert bar. After a misunderstanding, we were told that under no circumstances could they fit in one extra chair for our group. The lady who served us was rude and unhelpful, and we were made to feel very unwelcome. I also felt that children are frowned upon. We won't be coming back.

Located at the top of Mosley square, behind the Town Hall, with the main entrance off the grassed area overlooking the pier and the beach, this situation creates a private and intimate dining experience. It is slightly out of the way but well worth seeking out.

The restaurant decor is French style with deep terra-cotta walls and French cafe two toned chairs. At each end are comfortable leather lounge suites in deep tan. There are attractive arched windows above french doors opening out onto a large el fresco area with fantastic sea views. Between the French doors are fabulous full size wine barrels with antique style candelabras atop. Around the large well stocked bar are white leather and chrome sprung bar stools, very comfortable and very trendy.

From a predominately tapas menu we started with the tempura fried oysters, with wakami salad, pickled ginger and wasabi mayo, the best cooked, dressed oysters we have ever tasted. This was followed by the combination seafood and meat platter for two, accompanied by fries, rocket salad and three delicious dipping sauces. The platter was very generous with a great array of seafood, chicken, and tender slices of rare steak, totally satisfying.

The recommended wine was a perfect accompaniment to the seafood courses. Our choices for desserts were the strawberry Eaton mess, amazing, and a chocolate Fondant with cherry and red wine compote and vanilla bean ice-cream, deliciously gooey.

This restaurant has a very inviting, intimate vibe, with exceptional food. Spoil yourself.

"Whipped" Bake Bar Cafe is located at the beach end of Semaphore Rd. On the foot path in front of the cafe is an Al fresco area with cheerful orange and white tables and chairs, at the rear is a private courtyard, with predominately black and white tables and a couple of the orange and whites, combined with high tables and bright yellow stools, creating a very striking effect.

A central eating area has a stunning gold and orange wall paper feature wall and a central fireplace. The main cafe area repeats the gold and orange feature wall with orange upholstered bench seats, the rest of the decor is predominately black and pale grey, with polished floors. Emerald green book case-shelves highlight the orange and emerald juicer nearby, which is constantly in use. Interesting and unusual light fittings line the counter area above a fabulous display of cakes, muffins and lunch specialties.

Behind the counter a whole blackboard wall has the descriptions of the coffee beans used here and where they originated, and two coffee grinders ensure that the coffee is always fresh. A new coffee Synesso machine and a top barista produce a loverly crema, textured coffee with a pleasant aftertaste. The "Whipped" states, "We bake and cook from scratch, using South Australian fresh produce, come in a taste the difference".

We agreed and ordered from an excellent breakfast menu the "Whipped Breakfast" of free range eggs, bacon, roast tomato, mushrooms, chorizo, hash brown and toast, excellent. My wife chose from the lunch specials board, prawns and cous cous salad, fresh, delicious and enjoyable, a thoroughly satisfying lunch experience. This cafe is very ecco friendly, with a written, sustainability, mission statement.

Posh Italian food. I loved the scampi linguine that I had here at lunch. Such a wonderful combination of flavours and pasta cooked to perfection. Could have room for dessert if it wasn't for the fact that when we asked for the menus and still hadn't heard back for 15 mins we had run out of time. In summary, good food, poor service. I wouldn't come here when I'm in a rush.

I don't understand the hype that surrounds this restaurant. We've been keen to try Eros restaurant (not the bar area) for a while after recommendations from a number of friends. But were very disappointed by the experience.

Starting on the service, for a restaurant that charges so much I would expect a higher calibre of staff. Staff were predominantly young school girls who didn't know the menu and also struggled to bring out the correct bill. However, to their credit, they did take things in their stride and were doing their best. This by itself is not detrimental but the food was also terrible.

Serving sizes were too small (given the price) and the dishes were done poorly. The white bait were over done (they were like hollow pieces of batter but somehow still not crisp) and the marinated lamb (serviced with pita bread, tzatziki and hommus) looked this crumbs of overcooked lamb (like someone went to a yiros shop and scrapped the bottom of the tray).

This is really a shame because that dish was presented well. It is a really great idea to allow diners to make mini yiros. The dessert platter was a real mistake. It took over twenty mins to prepare. This was surprising given all of the items on the menu should have been ready (this wasn't souffle). When it came out I could understand why it took so long. Everything was being defrosted. All the desserts were soggy including the Galataboureko.

I'm happy to be corrected. Perhaps they should be soggy. Perhaps the syrup that was poured over everything made them soggy (the desserts were so soggy though, they would have had to be sitting around in syrup for at 20 mins). That still doesn't mean they should be flavourless. The Galataboureko custard defintely lacked flavour. It was like a custard colour gelatinous chunk. The pieces were cut in uneven sizes (so presentation was appalling).

Finally, being on a main road, it probably isn't a good idea for them to leave water glasses on the table, especially not upside down. The glasses collected a lot of dust and sediment.

Wow, this place turns Thai food into "cuisine". The food is beautifully crafted and has an interesting combination of flavours and uses fresh ingredients. The green curry is a favourite of mine. The strange coffee duck dish should be renamed to sugar duck. The syrup is sickly sweet and lacks coffee taste. It's a bit of an expensive option but it does offer an excellent setting.

Happy hour on a Sat night? Hence the rating on drinks and value. Not sure who this place is catered for. It plays 90s music but is filled with teens and the token stray middle aged holidayers who are staying at the hotel next door. Too weird.

Who knew that there was such a swanky bar above Rundle Mall? Definitely a place where the beautiful people hang out. The design of the venue is reminiscent of a New York bar. Bar food was quite "gourmet", well as gourmet as you get at a bar. (Roast potatoes instead of chips.) Music was on way too loud. It more of a club than a place to go to for casual drinks.

Always a good venue for drinks and food. The beer selection is extensive so it is always fun to try something new. Food is done incredibly well. I recommend the waterzooi - fruit de mer (creamy seafood soup). It's incredibly rich (so wash it down with beer) but those garlic croutons are the best invention. Adds incredible texture and flavour to the meal.

Burgers are mediocre. The bread isn't particularly nice and it was burnt. Nothing too exciting about the fillings but not too bad either. The service is appalling. Bar staff were chatting to friends for over 5 mins while I waited to order drinks. It's quite an expensive pub but okay if you have the entertainment book.

Cannot believe this place has such a high rating, must be the location with clientel that are used to not expecting too much, have been twice now walked out the first time due to lack of service and came back for a second try, sunday lunch... busy semi... service bad, tables don't get cleared there is a massive line up just for food and drinks and my poor 7 year old missed out on his ice cream after waiting 15 mins for a scoop and topping, BTW there was plenty staff on and not 1 smile... 1/10.

I don't know if this restaurant has deliberately improved due to the past bad reviews, or if the people who have bad experiences are the only ones who take the time to review restaurants.

We wandered into this Indian as the Argentinian across the street was full, others around were packed out and it smelt pretty tasty. Got seated and greeted by friendly wait staff, think we were served by almost everyone who worked there, so not sure of their system. The papadums platter was really good, then the samosa and sheek kebab was also very good. We then had the nicest lamb rogan josh I have had, melted in the mouth.

The Chicken madras was also very good, quality chicken, could have been a bit spicier. The only complaint I could have is the young waiter kept turning the footy on and putting the volume up which was not what I want to listen to while I eat. But overall the food was really great, just need to streamline their service and lose the fake flowers and tacky table numbers.

Honestly, It is so hard to fault, it was perfect. As you drive up you wonder what you're in for, which is part of the appeal. We were part of a group of 20, ordered Ala carte, I'm a Chef and all the guests were foodies, so we are knowledgeable. Other restaurants in the Adelaide Hills wouldn't allow group bookings unless they were on a set menu?. Probably because they want an easy buck with minimal fuss. Maxamillians delivers with ease and grace.

The service was amazing, they were almost mind readers. The style was very traditional, perfect for the Autumble get together. All 20 of us came away commenting it was 'memorable', the wine was great too, Well Done, thankyou.

Situated in historical secluded Leigh St is the delightfully French Corner Bistrot. Small and intimate with an over looking Mezzanine, ideal for small functions or parties. Around the walls are interesting French posters, maps and memrobillia.

The decor is simple with white table cloths predominating. We chose snails, untypically pan fried with walnut, bacon, parsley, garlic and butter, on a bed of spinach, Escargots facon chef, stunning!. From the daily special board, we also chose local fresh garlic prawns, succulent. Both accompanied by fresh bread ideal for absorbing the delicious sauces.

Our choice for mains were the duck, cooked two ways, Margret (pan fried) and leg (confit) with mushroom and truffle sauce. Canard deux cuissant sauce champignons et truffes, absolutely delightful. Also available was duck with cherry sauce, which also sounded fabulous. The Barramundi, baked with lemon thyme and butter, was another daily special, mouth watering.

We finished with two perrenial favourites, Cream caramel and delightfully crisp profiteroles, with an ice cream filling and coating of warm chocolate sauce, completing a fabulous French dinner. French trained chef, French waitresses, gives this Bistrot real authenticity.
