Food was yummy, service was very average. They weren't happy to get us a table knowing that we didn't make a booking, even when we told them that we were from out of town. Dishes a bit more pricy than other places we went to while on our Adelaide trip.

I have eaten here plenty of times and I keep coming back. The food is always very good and the service exceptional. They make roti in the traditional manner and it is the best I have ever tasted. The curries are also very good.

My husband and I have dined here years ago so went back again a few weeks ago since we were in town. We ordered a laksa and singapore noodles. The noodles arrived soaked in sauce and tasted like tomato sauce and the laksa broth was diluted and lacking in taste. We were charged for drinks only and left very disappointed.

If you are looking for a Malay restaurant with a good value and good service, this is the one! We just walked into this restaurant without any information (I am from Sydney). Unlike other restaurants in the area (it is in Chinatown), this one is casual but neat and tidy. Saw many tables were occupied by office workers so I thought it was a good sign.
My guess was right. The food was pretty authentic Malaysian food and fair selections. However, I am most impressed by their staff. Although it is a casual restaurant, they were friendly, constantly walk around the tables, keep topping up water etc. Very attentive service indeed! In fact we went back to eat again 3 days later partly because the service was good.

Excellent variety of indonesian and malay cuisine, tempered with jazz music, unusual combination, however, it works, excellent staff and Michael is the best host. His wife is the chef and I have to tell you she makes the best roti I have tasted in aus. dine inside or outside, upstairs or down. BYO and licensed, situated opposite the markets.
