What a delight! Set up in a cute little stone house surrounded by a lovely garden, this restaurant gave us full satisfaction. The service was friendly and attentive and the food very tasty. I ordered the beef cheeks on a bed of polenta and it was melting in my mouth! Another highlight was the aioli served with a side of chips. And the raspberry donuts were all we could hope for! Definitely recommended if visiting the beautiful Barossa Valley.

A very disappointing meal. 2 of us went to 1918 Bistro for lunch on Saturday and in spite of it not being busy service was very slow. Eventually our orders were taken and some time later the food arrived. My boyfriend had a steak, which he enjoyed but felt was overpriced for the cut of meat. I had ordered fish, which arrived raw. About 15 minutes later I was provided with my second dish which was mediocre and vastly overpriced for the standard. I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes food.

We ate here with a group of friends one night, and although the restaurant was very busy, we got great service and lots of attention. The food was well above expectation and every meal that came out was oohed and ahhed by everyone! We would definitely go back again!

This was a great find. Everything we ordered was excellent quality made from local produce served. A must if you are visiting the Barossa.

Ate lunch here recently as part of a tour of the Barossa; tried but couldn't finish the large portions of prawn linguini and rocket/pear salad. All lovely, great espresso too. It was quite empty when I ate there and I thought the ambience OK though a bit cold.

A great restaurant. Dined here on a weekend away, visiting from Sydney. The meals from entree, main and dessert were all superb, could not be faulted. Nice and cosy ambience even with a full restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Barossa.

Fantastic restaurant. Returned in the same week after such a great experience. Five of us ordered a variety of meals, all sensational. Service impeccable. Staff very friendly, extremely knowledgeable regarding menu and wine list. Great personalities with fun sense of humour. 1918 is on our list of favourites and a must-do when in Tanunda.
